Wei is a Co-founder and Managing Partner of Arbor Ventures, the largest FinTech focused venture fund in Asia. Arbor aims to shape the way the world transacts by investing in early stage companies that enable frictionless transactions across financial services and digital commerce. As a thought leader in the global FinTech community, Wei was named to the Top 38 Fintech Influencers in Asia, the Fintech Asia 100 and the AlwaysOn Power Players in Fintech.
Prior to Arbor, Wei was Managing Director and Head of Asia at Citi Ventures, Citigroup's strategic venture investment and innovation arm. She established the Asian operations, invested in and incubated new technologies and strategies to accelerate disruption for the bank. Wei brings with her 20+ years of experience and perspective in finance, entrepreneurship, and technology spanning the Silicon Valley, Greater China and Southeast Asia.
Wei is a member of the New Ventures Advisory Council at McKinsey & Co, a founding member of the Internet Securities Services Committee under the Chinese Securities Regulatory Commission, a founding steering committee member of AngelVest, a member of the Young President's Organization and a former Vice Chair of Women in Leadership (China).
Wei holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Pomona College.
